If all the world were as fair as you,
the streets would be joyous
and the beggars too.
It's a cruel world we live in;
it twists the spine
and dwells on the divine,
all while pretending it's kind.
If I could leave this world
and go; there'd be nothing
but merry in my throat.
But we all are stuck
here in the sands of time.
Worshipping the divine
and pretending everything
is fine.
